This series diesel engine is divided into two types, i.e. left- hand and right-hand engines.
Right-hand engine: viewing from flywheel end, the crankshaft rotating clockwise;
Left-hand engine: viewing from flywheel end, the crankshaft rotating anticlockwise;
The series engines are mainly used for ship propulsion, and also can be used as primer mover for power station, locomotive, exploratory boring for crude oil and sea boring. This engine use for China Hainan class navy ship.
